    Bei „Frankly Jazz“ handelte es sich um eine nur sehr kurz existierende TV-Show aus Los Angeles, die in jeder Ausgabe West Coast Musiker vorstellte und ihnen Platz für ein Live-Set gab.
    Insgesamt gab es nur acht etwa 25minütige Folgen, von denen ein paar Ausschnitte bei youtube zu sehen sind.

    Die folgenden Videos gehen leider nicht ineinander über, was schade ist, aber man kann die gesamten gespielten Tracks sehen.

      Ich hab diese DVD mit West Coast Aufnahmen, auch nur einzelne Stücke, Qualtität ist nicht besonders, aber falls Du was in der Richtung haben möchtest, ist sie durchaus zu empfehlen:

      Es gibt soweit ich sehe sechs DVDs, ich kenne nur Vol. 2 (Teddy Edwards!)

      Und die hier ist auch gut, mit Sonny Criss, Teddy Edwards, Harry Edison, Hampton Hawes, Leroy Vinnegar, Bobby Thompson und Joe Turner sowie dem Les McCanns Trio:

      Das dürfte es in etwa gewesen sein. Jazzonfilm gibt noch eine Folge mit Sammy Davis Jr, Victor Feldman und dem Jimmy Rowles Quartet an, allerdings konnte ich nichts darüber finden.
      Außerdem müssten, wenn die Logik stimmt, noch Stücke bei Gerald Wilson und Shorty Rodgers fehlen.

      Klar ist außerdem nur, dass die Jazz Crusaders die Serie eröffneten. Über alle weiteren Folgen konnte ich keine Datumsanagaben finden.

      ich glaube, das sollte Ron Selico (d) und Ray Crawford (g) sein… danke fürs sammeln! schade, dass da nicht mehr weitere Sendungen gekommen sind… ich bild mir ein, ich hätt das Personal der Joe Pass Folge mal gesucht gehabt, aber wieder vergessen…
