nö, aber the jam gehörten noch nie zu meinen lieblingsbands… ich weiß auch nicht wieso genau, aber bis bei „all mod cons“ waren doch auf allen alben ziemlich viele füller (z.b. die zweite seite von „sound affects“ finde ich nicht so gut)… für mich eher eine gute singlesband, mit zwei ordentlichen alben…

pipe-bowlÜber „Music for the last couple“ lässt sich vielleicht streiten, aber „Dream time“, „Man in the corner shop“, „Boy about town“ und „Scrape away“ sind für mich nahezu tadellos.

ich muss zugeben, dass ich meist nach „man in the corner shop“ schluss mache… muß die beiden letzten tracks nochmal nachhören…

also ich habe jetzt das jetzt noch mal gegengehört, ich bleibe dabei dass seite zwei ziemlich schwach ist… „man in the corner shop“ und von mir aus auch noch „boy about town“ sind ganz okay, aber die anderen drei songs finde ich nicht so gut… was man natürlich konzedieren muss, musikalisch ist das schon erste sahne, vor allem das zusammenspiel von foxton und buckler, was fehlt ist die substanz (= song)…. erinnert mich irgendwie an „Barbarism begins at home“ von den smiths: musikalisch wahrscheinlich das beste was die rhythmusgruppe je gemacht hat, aber doch kein song, der haften bleibt…
