    mick, versuch mal, wenn du noch günstig an die cd
    herankommst, dir von “ face value“ die “ audio – fidelity -cd“
    ( 2010, mastered by steve hoffman ) zu besorgen.
    klanglich vom feinsten !!!
    die “ deluxe – version“ würde mich trotzdem auch locken,
    wenn z.b. maxi – versionen enthalten wären….

    After the departure of Ritchie Blackmore from Deep Purple, he jumped back into the flames of Rock and Roll with a new band, Rainbow. Needless to say, Blackmore’s Rainbow held a great measure of success right from the outset. No surprise there.

    The band produced a string of albums beginning with the self-titled debut in 1975. Since then the band, with a heavy rotation of newer members, produced seven more studio efforts, and enjoyed immense success with a live classic, On Stage (1977).

    On May 26, Purple Pyramid Records (Cleopatra Records) will release a Deluxe Edition of a previously unreleased live set performed in Denver from their Down to Earth tour in 1979. The album, Denver 1979, will be released on vinyl 2LP. The vinyl LP is planned for pressing in three different colors, each separately available. The colors include green, red, or blue, and will be packaged in a holographic foil gatefold jacket. There will only be 1000 copies of each color option made available.

    3 Konzerte in der Super Deluxe-Box? Nur, wenn die Setlists unterschiedlich sind. Ich höre nicht Monate lang, ob in Chicago ein Sekundär- oder Tertiärecho anders klingt als in Long Island – so repräsentativ die CD-Verpackungen auch sein mögen.

    Seven years in the making, Never Satisfied is our collection of legendary soul and funk singles by Atlanta Guitarist/Singer/Songwriter Richard Marks. This 21 track anthology follows Marks’ stylistic development, from his earliest work for the legendary Tuska label, from 1968 until approximately 1972, through his more mature releases on the Shout label and smaller regional labels like Note, Free Spirit and RSC. It also includes two tracks never released in any form, found on reels Marks had maintained in his Atlanta home.

    Marks’ story is that on an unsung soul and funk hero; a guitarist, vocalist and songwriter whose number was in Al Green’s, Barry White’s and Eddie Kendricks’ rolodexes, but whose talents have only been heard in sporadic bursts since his 45s were released and disappeared into Atlanta’s urban expanse. This is the story of a father and husband who managed to keep his family together as he gigged the third shift six nights a week. The story of a man who wished for more and whose talent is overdue for reassessment.

    Marks and his music are unknown to the majority, but to an obsessive minority, he is a lightning rod, that singular point at which numerous Southern soul and funk musicians converged and exploded, spreading wondrous music in all directions. Marks’ impeccable run of 7” singles, released largely on tiny, local labels, are the stuff of legend, and are hen’s-teeth-rare.

    Marks died of cancer in May of 2006, never having issued an album, either in the ‘60s and ‘70s, when many of his peers were able to find a way to issue an LP, or in anthology form in his later years. He never granted an interview. Given the caliber of his recordings and the near complete lack of information available about him before the issue of this anthology, Marks stands out as the most mysterious talent to originate from Atlanta, a city that birthed no shortage of genius, from acclaimed worldwide (the Mighty Hannibal), obscure yet celebrated (Lee Moses) and local, but well documented (Tommy Stewart). Never Satisfied aims to illuminate the life and career of this all-too-talented musician.

    Early in 2015, the Van Halen camp released remasters of the Van Halen debut (1978), and 1984 (1984). Those were presented in variable packages. Now, on July 10, the band will continue further into their catalog with the remastered reissues of Van Halen II (1979), Women And Children First (1980), Fair Warning (1981), and Diver Down (1982).

    The new remasters are being done by Chris Bellman, who had done earlier remasters. They will be reissued via Rhino Records.

    Those four titles will not only be available on CD. but will also release as DD and 180g vinyl LP.

    At the end of August, Universal Music will issue I’ll Remember, an archival box set featuring the music of Taste, the Irish rock/blues band formed in the mid sixties that featured Rory Gallagher on guitar and vocals.

    The four disc set will feature both studio albums (1969′s Taste and the 1970 follow-up On The Boards) expanded with many alternate versions of album tracks. The third CD is full of live audio from 1970 culled from concerts in Stockholm and London while the final disc adds demos, rare single cuts and more live material.
