This 5CD Box Set represents the second half of the story of The Sound. Following their legendary albums for the Korova label, The Sound signed for Statik Records, releasing the mini-album ‚Shock Of Daylight‘, the full length album ‚Heads And Hearts‘ and the double LP live ‚In the Hothouse‘ recorded at London’s Marquee. One further album for The Sound was released by Play It Again Sam before the band called it a day. All those recordings are included here with bonus B-Sides, rare unheard demons and an unreleased track. Also included is the added bonus disc – ‚Propaganda‘, the collection of recordings made at Adrian Borland’s parents‘ house before the band signed for Korova.

Na, endlich kommt mal so etwas von einer der bestens Bands der Welt :wave: … bleibt nur zu hoffen, dass derartiges gerade auch von „New Gold Dream“ und „Sons And Fascination“ veröffentlicht wird!
Simple Minds‘ sixth studio album Sparkle in the Rain will be reissued in March 2015 across a number of formats including a five-disc super deluxe edition box set.
The Steve Lillywhite produced album, released in 1984, features the iconic single Waterfront and saw the band embrace a rockier, more stadium friendly sound after the new wave pop of New Gold Dream.
The album has been newly remastered and the super deluxe box set will feature a disc of single edits, B-sides and extended mixes as well as a further two CDs that include 13 tracks performed Live at Barrowlands in Glasgow in 1984 and a trio of BBC Radio One sessions from 1983.
Additionally, a DVD will include a brand new Steven Wilson 5.1 surround sound remix of the album, a new stereo mix and all three promo videos (Waterfront, Speed Your Love To Me, Up On The Catwalk) as well as a few TV appearances.
If the box is more than you require, there will be a two-CD deluxe edition, a new vinyl version and a blu-ray audio with the 5.1 mix.
Sparkle in the Rain will be reissued on 16 March 2015.

FlashBackMagazineWhen Tears For Fears released Songs From the Big Chair, the two main components of the band, Roland Orzabal, and Curt Smith, had no idea that this album would be the hit it was. They followed their debut album, The Hurting, released in 1983, with Songs From the Big Chair (1985), hitting the charts with the immensity of a meteor striking the earth, as it gave fans four massively charting singles with “Shout”, “Mother’s Talk”, “Everybody Wants to Rule The World”, and “Head Over Heels”. The band was able to follow up that album with the 1989 issue of The Seeds Of Love, although not with the same fever.
If you think Tears For Fears, most fans will immediately think of “Shout”, or any of the other songs from the albums, especially the singles. In 2006, Songs From the Big Chair was reissued as a Deluxe Edition with an extra CD of remixes and edits.
On November 4, Songs From The Big Chair will be revisited in a BIG way. The set will be reissued in a variety of forms that will include vinyl LP, Blu-ray Audio (stand-alone), a single CD, a 2CD Deluxe Edition, and a MASSIVE 4CD/2DVD Super Deluxe Edition. What several of these packages will contain is not yet ascertained.

Mich interessiert eigentlich die neue Vinylversion von „Songs From The Big Chair“ und da insbesondere der „2014 Stereo Mix“ von Steven Wilson. Gibt es zwei unterschiedliche Vinylversionen oder warum zeigt die Universal Back To Black Homepage zwei Ausgaben des Albums mit unterschiedlichen Covern. Bei den üblichen bzw. mir bekannten Versendern finde ich immer nur die Standardausgabe (?).

Original Genesis guitarist Anthony Phillips released his solo debut album The Geese and the Ghost in 1977. A pastoral and reflective work, the album gained instant cult status with its beautifully crafted combination of folk, singer-songwriter and classical influences.
With its similarities to Trespass and stand-out performances from Mike Rutherford and Phil Collins, the album provided a fascinating glimpse into a mid-1970s Genesis that never was.
This 2015 Esoteric label re-issue of the album is an expanded 2 CD/1 DVD version and includes a poster.
Re-mastered from the original master tapes by Simon Heyworth, it includes a 5.1. mix of the album by Andy Myles and Simon Heyworth, along with a CD of demos and early versions of the tracks. The bonus tracks are completed with the addition of both sides of an aborted single from 1973, Silver Song and Only Your Love (previously unreleased). Both tracks feature Phil Collins on vocals.
Presented in a clamshell box which includes a lavishly illustrated booklet with an essay.

Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark‘s 1984 album Junk Culture gets a belated 30th anniversary reissue next February when it’s released as a two-CD deluxe edition.
The original album, which features the hits Locomotion, Talking Loud and Clear and Tesla Girls, will be remastered, and the bonus disc will gather up a collection of B-sides and extended mixes, many of which are new-to-CD.
There are also five previously unreleased tracks; two unheard songs (All Or Nothing featuring Paul on vocals, and 10 to 1) as well as three demos.

Columbia/Legacy Recordings will reissue an expanded 30th anniversary edition of Judas Priest‘s 1984 album Defenders of the Faith in March.
Producer Tom Allom has remastered the original 10-track album for this deluxe edition and the bonus material consists of a complete live recording from the ‘Defenders’ tour, recorded at the Long Beach Arena in California, on 5 May 1984.
The 21-track concert recording is split across two CDs and features seven tracks from the then new album, along with a selection of classics from the band’s back catalogue.

Bei mir ganz an der Spitze ist „Force Majeure“, gefolgt von „Phaedra“, „Encore“ und „Ricochet“. Bin erst mit den „Virgin-Years“ so wirklich auf TD gestoßen (worden).
