Kris Kristoffersons Debüt-Album und ein Paradebeispiel von „True Country“, in Abgrenzung zur Nashville-Konfektionsware.
Wahrhaftige Songs über Trinker, Verzweifelte und sonstige Außenseiter.Klingt für mich manchmal (z.B. „Darby’s Castle“) wie ein countryfizierter Leonard Cohen.
