Bei mir ist auch „Cuts“ vorne. Zwar nur hauchdünn, aber ohne Zweifel.

Wobei ich vermutet hatte, daß, nachdem ich sie zuletzt live erleben durfte, „Neptune“ besser sein würde.

topsIch habe sie vor ein paar Tagen hintereinander gehört und muß konstatieren, daß mich „Cuts“ mehr aufwühlt, mehr mitreißt, mehr anzieht. Ein schwarzes Loch von einer LP. „Neptune“ ist auch dunkel, aber nicht mehr ganz so dicht. Brillant sind sie natürlich beide.

Das ist eine sehr gute Beschreibung, denn das Album ist in der Tat so eigenschafts- und konturlos wie ein schwarzes Loch. Vor beiden tritt man zudem am besten die Flucht an, es sei denn man will von ihnen arg in die Länge gezogen werden.

Das neue Album ist glücklicherweise viel besser. Daher Update:

Für mich haben The Duke Spirit mit Neptune leider viel von ihrem Charme und ihrer Brisanz verloren.
