Was ist denn die Phil Moore? Den Namen hab ich noch nie gehört, aber die Line-Ups sehen ja gut aus… eins dieser Pilze-aus-dem-Boden-Label, nehme ich an?

(Thelonious Monk) | Meine Sendungen auf Radio StoneFM: gypsy goes jazz, #151: Neuheiten aus dem Archiv – 09.04., 22:00 | Slow Drive to South Africa, #8: tba | No Problem Saloon, #30: tbaEager ist in der Tat rundum großartig (das mit dem booklet wusst ich, die Musik und Klangqualität sind aber beide viel besser als erwartet), Moore ist sowas wie früher Third Stream (1947), hier ist der erste Track, halbwegs repräsentativ, auch wenn es teilweise jazziger ist (hier zb), von den tollen Besetzungen kriegt man nicht soo viel mit, aber die CD hat eine gute, quirlige Atmosphäre (find ich)

.Hm, nach zwei Minuten Moore-Sample (erster Link) weiss ich, warum die ganzen Les Baxter-Sachen auftauchen, wenn man die CD bei Amazon anschaut
Keine Ahnung, ob ich sowas eine Stunde lang hören möchte, aber irgendwie ist das schon spannend! Hört man denn was von Lucky?

Keine Ahnung, ob ich sowas eine Stunde lang hören möchte, aber irgendwie ist das schon spannend! Hört man denn was von Lucky?nein, gibt auf dem Album so vier, fünf längere Soli, kein Lucky dazwischen…
