Das sind quasi die heutigen Versionen der alten Freshsound-LPs, ja? Die waren ja auch völlig in Ordnung (ich hab nur zwei oder drei, war vor meiner Zeit) und v.a. ermöglichten sie es damals europäischem Publikum ohne riesiges Budget, viel gute Musik (abseits der ganz grossen Namen) überhaupt hören zu können.

Die Moran kenne ich nicht, alle anderen sind gut (Rouse, Kelly) oder sehr gut (Jones, Mitchell) bis super (Gonsalves, Hawes, Timmons). Die Rouse muss ich nach soulpopes Einlassung aber mal wieder anhören, vielleicht wächst sie ja in der Gunst.

Dieser regelmässige Eingang von Klassikern hat ja fast schon etwas Beängstigendes

Hast Du „Misterioso“ von Monk auch schon? Stammt von denselben Aufnahmen wie „In Action“ und ich mag es wohl noch eine Spur lieber.

Hat and beardVom „Red“-RI hatte ich zwei Exemplare, die erste hatte leichte Störgeräusche (und seamsplit, deswegen getauscht), die zweite spielt perfekt.

loxSeite 2 “Providence“? Ich bin auch mit dem Klang der fehlerfreien Tracks nicht 100% zufrieden, ich versuche es noch mit dem Debüt aus dieser Reihe, soll besser klingen. Von “Red“ suche ich mir vielleicht eine Nippon Pressung.

Bin erst heute zum Nachhören gekommen: Ja, auch „Providence“ spielt – selbst unter Kopfhörer – nahezu fehlerfrei.
