weil die die ursprünglich Mono Fassung die nachträglich erstellte Stereo Fassung um Längen schlägt, ist übrigens bei allen Dylan Alben bis einschließlich John Wesley Harding der Fall.............

Bei vielen Platten aus den sechzigern sind die Mono den Stereo Pressungen vorzuziehen......so klingen zb. Highway 61 Revisited, Blonde on Blonde, Velvet Underground & Nico, Pet Sounds, St. Pepper etc in den Mono Fassungen voller mehr Bass usw.
Diese Aufnahmen wurden ursprünglich als Monoveröffentlichungen konzipiert und unter diesem Gesichtspunkt gemastert. Die Stereo-Versionen basieren auf den Mono Mastertapes und verfälschen den ursprünglich beabsichtigten Sound.

kann man so pauschal eigentlich nett sagen.....es gibt auch Alben aus den sixties die als Stereo Pressungen konzipiert wurden zb Byrds etc.
Die drei ersten Beatles Alben sind glaub ich auch Mono Aufnahmen....

Die Stereo Aufnahmetechnik gibts glaub ich schon seit den 40/50er Jahren die ganzen Jazz Klassiker wurden ja schon als Stereo Aufnahmen konzipiert (Miles Davis, John Coltrane.....) auch im Klassikbereich wurde die Stereo Technik damals bereits eingesetzt.....im Popmusik Bereich hat sie sich dagegen erst Mitte der sechziger durchgesetzt......Mono Aufnahmen waren halt wessentlich günstiger......
