Yo La Tengo has kept busy lately. They’re performing as part of a live documentary about the life of Buckminster Fuller that’s being staged this month in San Francisco, including roughly 30 minutes of specially-composed music. Last week they were in Toronto, where they performed their original soundtrack to the collection of vintage short films on marine life called “The Sounds of Science.” And McNew revealed that more than an album’s worth of new material is ready for recording this summer.
