Parks Filme haben für mich bisher immer nur in Augenblicken, Momenten funktioniert, nie als Ganzes. Der Flurfight in OLDBOY ist fantastisch inszeniert (hat mich damals beim Filmfest Hamburg richtig aus dem Sitz gepustet), ragt aber soweit aus dem Film raus, dass immer, wenn man an diese Sequenz denkt, auch klar wird, wieviel „der Rest“ schuldig bleibt. Ähnliches gilt für THIRST, der hat ganz großartige Einzelszenen (bspw. das wunderbare Finale an der Steilküste), kommt am Ende aber nichtmal auf die Summe seiner Teile.
LADY VENGEANCE war in der Hinsicht wohl noch der in sich geschlossenste.
