Nee, eher ein halber zuviel, wenn ich ehrlich bin. Wenn man die Hits mal außen vor lässt: Diese ruffe, teils ohne jegliches Rhythmus-Gefühl vorgetragene Hyperartikulation sagt mir auf dem Album noch nicht so zu („Be careful“, ein paar Jahre später, ist da schon viel besser), vor allem Method Man nervt mich auf fast jedem Track.

RZAs Einstieg und der erste Verse von „Wu Tang Clan ain’t nuthin ta f`wit“ oder Inspectah Decks Part in „Protect ya neck“. Im selben Lied Method Man’s „moviin on your leeft“.
Generell hab ich auch nichts gegen Hyperartikulation, nur hat z.B. Redman das Spiel schon ein Jahr zuvor mit wesentlich mehr Flow gespielt und selbst der RZA war als Prince Rakeem besser drauf als auf der ersten Wu Tang-LP, zumindest lyrisch. Die Produktion unterscheidet sich ziemlich stark, war „Ooh we love…“ geradeaus Funk mit ein bisschen mehr Dreck als Pete Rock, halte ich „Enter the Wu Tang“, gerade aufgrund der Einbindung der Dialoge für wegweisend und den Zeitgeist treffend (kann man recht gut mit der Wirkung von KKS‘ „King of Rap“ auf (von einer breiteren Öffentlichkeit wahrgenommenen) Deutschrap vergleichen.)
