7.) cold wind in august ****1/2Ein vielverspechender Opener und ein beeindruckendes Finale. Jedoch dazwischen nicht viel, was mich erwärmen könnte. Dafür, dass sich Van gut 3 Jahre Zeit genommen hatte, ist diese Scheibe als Nachfolger von Veedon Fleece ernüchternd und passt zum Titel. Bei „Kansas City“ schrecken mich die Vocals zu Beginn sehr ab, sonst wäre mehr drin. Gute ***, knapp unter ***1/2.
