Vega4Besonders „Songdog“ freut mich! Von deiner Liste kenne ich nur „X“ nicht. Um welche Art von Musik handelt es sich dabei?

X sind in der Los Angeles Punk-Szene der späten Siebziger und frühen Achtziger zu verorten, wobei das nach eben jener Stadt benannte Debut allgemein meist als ihr wichtigstes Werk angesehen wird. Mir persönlich gefallen außerdem noch „More Fun In The New World“ von ’83 und „See How We Are“ von ’86 sehr, die damals allerdings von vielen Fans aufgrund ihrer Zugänglichkeit und relativ klaren Produktion als Kommerz-Ansteuerung und Verrat verschmäht wurde (nennenswerten kommerziellen Erfolg brachten die beiden Alben nichtsdestotrotz nicht). Die Band existiert immer noch, tritt hin und wieder auf, das letzte Studio-VÖ liegt allerdings schon fast 15 Jahre zurück. Bei dem von Joshua Tree erwähnten Album scheint es sich um ein Best Of von 2004 zu handeln.

Danke Tina, hatte den Beitrag von Vega4 überblättert. Make the Music Go Bang! ist eine ziemlich gelungene DoCD Compilaition.
