The cover shows Zoot and I sitting on a bench in Pennsylvania Station with a sign over the gate saying: „Jazzville.“
World War II laws were still in effect that prohibited picture-taking in public facilities. The photographers were just finishing the shoot when a group of police charged in to arrest us. Fortunately, we were able to avoid that embarrassment by convincing the authorities that we were from „Life“ Magazine, then a famous publication.

Ein Zug fuhr da schon lange nicht mehr. Und die 39 Clocks – die pschüschedelischte Pschüschedelik, die je aus deutschen Landen … – gibt es leider auch nicht mehr. Lohnt aber immer wieder, bei ihren Platten Station zu machen. Ebenfalls lohnenswert sind die Seitenprojekte von Sänger Jürgen Gleue, sei es The Cocoon, Exit Out oder The Phantom Payn, die allesamt die 60er Garage der Clocks wahlweise in Free Jazz, Jazz oder Rückzugspsychedelia tunkten. Jürgen Gleue sammelt seit eingen Jahren alte DDR-Comics, veröffentlicht aber keine Musik mehr.
Tuxedomoon: Scream Wth A View
Tuxedomoon ereichten ihren zersetzenden Proto-Gothic mit elektronischen dezenten Ennervierungen, verfremdeter Violine, Saxophon-in-Gut, überspannter Stimme, Bass und klappriger Beat Box. Ich behaupte, alles was sie bis 1980 machten, war Gold, danach stiegen sie weiter ab auf Silber und Bronze. Kurz danach verlor ich sie aus den Ohren. Scream With A View ist von 1979.
