Diese schöne Schallplatte kam heute über Moshi Moshi. Ich höre sie jetzt zum zweiten Mal, bin aber nicht unangetan.

Eine klasse Band, ein klasse Album! Vinyl muss ich mir ebenfalls nachbestellen. Ist mein bisher drittes Album der Wave Pictures, alle drei sind auf ganz hohem Niveau. Schön, dass sie offensichtlich jetzt auch auf der Insel so richtig wahrgenommen werden.

Ja, das sind sicher auch zwei der herausragenden Songs auf dem Album. Ist insgesamt aber eine sehr runde Sache geworden, die vor allem Spaß macht und zur Sonne genossen werden möchte.

Hast Du denn mittlerweile das Album? Hörst Du es auf einem ähnlichen Niveau wie „Strange Fruit“ und „Madman“? Bei mir hat sich „Instant Coffe Baby“ jedenfalls sicher in den Top5 des bisherigen Jahres eingependelt.--

Darren Hayman / Wave Pictures split.It had to happen. The twist is though that we are doing Bruce Springsteen songs. So far I’ve recorded 2 and the Wave Pictures have recorded 13. Its all part of a big two CD Springsteen tribute being put out by ‚Where Its At‘ records.

Strange Fruit For David ***** (nicht nur wegen des Textes)
I Love You Like A Madman ****1/2Unabhängig vom schmunzeligen Text hören sich für mich die Tracks (Myspace) jetzt nicht unbedingt außergewöhnlich doll an. Back to the 60s ist wohl unüberhörbar. Aber es ist kein Track dabei, dem ich unbedingt mehr als das Attribut „nett anzuhören“ geben würde.
Geht es auf gesamter Albumlänge in dieser Art weiter, wären bei mir wohl mehr als max *** nicht drin.--
