Greetings good people.

You once signed up for some sort of newsletter from us so finally after more than a little bit of time, here it is.
If you do not want to receive any more e-mails from us then simply just reply: „No Thanks“.
So here we go. We’ve had our album „Late Morning Light“ out for some time on both vinyl and CD. The vinyl came and went and so did the CD but it should still be available in a record store near you.

We’ve done 3 tours of Germany and loved every single minute of it. We’re hoping to be back by next spring.

So, here’s the future, our latest 7″ record All Too Tired/400 Miles on Spring Records (limited edition of 250 copies) is now sold out. However it will be up on iTunes in the near future so keep your eyes peeled.

We’re very excited about our split 7″ with our new favourite band By The Sea

After that we will be doing a few choice festival dates but mainly go in the studio to keep working on our 2nd album. Hopefully due out in April 2012.

GPS69 THE SEE SEE / BY THE SEA split 45

One of 2 new 45s on The GPS for June, this one’s a split featuring a spanking new tune from The See See backed by a gorgeous debut from new Wirral band ‘By The Sea’.

“Automobile” once again displays The See See’s penchant for hazy, sun baked West Coast psych / power pop. Hooks a plenty, killer backing vocals, and a tidy follow up to the mighty “Late Morning Light” full length that came and went in a week on wax for the GPS, with a CD amassing salivating reviews throughout.

The Wirral’s “By The Sea” are steadily creating quite a buzz for themselves both on Merseyside and down here in London after a number of stunning live shows, where their (so far), small cannon of beautiful 60s flavoured tunes leave audiences eagerly tipping the band for future greatness. Sublime songwriting recalling The Left Banke, Gene Clark, The WCPAEB, with subtle nods to that first euphoric moment you heard the Stone Roses for the first time.

This single could almost only come out late Spring, early Summer- 2 gorgeous tunes in tastily packaged vinyl only. Just a perfect pop record and one which sees it’s release celebrated with a launch show at the perfect setting of the Williamson Tunnels in Liverpool on Sat. June 11th. 500 only so be quick.
***The first 100 available on launch night feature a numbered additional sleeve insert exclusive to the release do- so if you can make it to Liverpool this Saturday…!?***

Ich dachte, das Album sei längst offiziell veröffentlicht. Ich habe es vor Ostern als CD für 2,50 Pfund im Oxfam in Kensington gekauft. Vermutlich also ein Promoexemplar, da steht ber nix von drauf. Digipack, das Cover erinnert ein bisschen an die frühen Pink-Floyd-Platten, allerdings steht das Tracklisting wieder vorn drauf. Der Inhalt gefällt mir noch etwas besser als das erste Album. Stilistisch hat sich aber nix groß geändert. „Fountayne Mountain“ hat etwas mehr „Wumms“ und ein paar noch etwas psychedelischere Momente. Tolle Platte.

Nochmal ein Status Quo aus meinen Gesprächen mit allen 4 Bandmitgliedern:

– Pete Greenwood nimmt sich eine Auszeit. Falls er zurückkommt, kann es lt.
Sam Ferman sein, dass sie mit 3 Gitarristen arbeiten. Meine Fragen nach ihm wurden generell etwas ausweichend beantwortet, hatte ich den Eindruck
– es ist bereits etliches an neuem Material aufgenommen
– die neue Single steht auch schon fest, wurde jetzt auch auf der Tour live gespielt (Name vergessen), Vö: wohl erst Anfang 2013
– ein weiterer neuer Song, den ich hören durfte, ist Bill Doss, dem in 2013 verstorbenen Olivia Tremor Control Mitglied gewidmet u. hat mich echt von den Socken gehauen. Es geht def. in die Richtung von OTC, mit viel Beach Boys u. Zombies Einflüssen
– Sie haben offensichtlich einen deal mit Sundazed in America abgeschlossen, die nochmal die ersten beiden Alben veröffentlichen + die neue 7″ herausbringen
– neue Platte wohl aber erst im Herbst 2013
