nachdem ich vor einigen Tagen bereits „The friends of Rachel Worth“ besternt habe und Rolf inzwischen das ganze Go Betweens-Werk hier eingestellt hat, habe ich heute nochmal reichlich gehört und besterne jetzt mal den großen Rest:

insgesamt: ***1/2

noch nicht ausgereiftes Frühwerk, insbesondere das Songwriting und die kompositorischen Qualitäten verbesserten sich hernach deutlich. Aber auch die Arrangements waren auf dem Album für mich noch nicht so fesselnd. In Ansätzen aber durchaus schon ansprechend. „Cattle and cane“ ist natürlich groß.
