Nach Aussage von Ringo Starr (jau, dem…) kommt die Audio-CD im Oktober/November (laut Capitol USA am 18.11.) in die Läden. Es handelt sich dabei um eine ent-spectorisierte Version. Sprich: Ohne Orchester und anderem Schnickschnack. So, wie „Get Back“ (der geplante Name) ursprünglich erscheinen sollte. Zitat Macca: „It’s the Beatles with their trousers down…“
Die neu abgemischte „Let It Be“-DVD dürfte erst nächstes Jahr erscheinen. Zitat Ringo: „I don’t think it’s gonna come out at the same time, because we have to clean it up still.“

Ich denke die Unterschiede dürften auffallen aber dennoch minimal sein. Zumindestens für Leute die sich intensiver damit auseinandersetzen.

Simon PhillipsIch bin sehr gespannt! Der neue Mix bei dem Yellow Submarine-Songtrack war ja schon hammermäßig!
Und Let it be hat mit „Dig your pony“, „Don’t let me down“, „Two of us“, „I’ve got a feeling“, „Get Back“ und auch der rockigeren Version des Titelsongs ein paar prima Songs! Ob auch „Across the universe“ wieder mit drauf ist, werden wir sehen – das ist jedenfalls auch ein Topsong, der durchaus einen neuen (weniger muffigen) Mix vertragen könnte!--

War auf der letztendlich veröffentlichten Version nciht enthalten, sondern wurde bekannterweise B-Seite. In der Ur-Version des Albums „Get Back“ war es jedoch enthalten. Auf jeden Fall gehört es zu den Aufnahmen zu Let it be! (Im Gegensatz zu „Across the Universe“!)
Ich erwarte (oder hoffe) auch ein paar Live-Tracks vom Rooftop-Gig als Bonus!Ach ja und auf „The long and winding road“ remixed freue ich mich auch!

The long-awaited ’naked‘ version of THE BEATLES‘ album ‚LET IT BE‘ is finally to be released next month.
Out November 17, ‚Let It Be…Naked‘ removes producer Phil Spector’s orchestrations, choirs and effects from the mix. Paul McCartney has long voiced his unhappiness with the original mix, especially the orchestration on his song ‚The Long And Winding Road‘.
The majority of ‚Let It Be‘ was recorded in 1969 for an album and film project, originally called ‚Get Back‘, showing The Beatles returning to their roots as a four-piece rock-and-roll band.
However, the group was in the process splitting up and the album was abandoned, with ‚Abbey Road‘ coming out before it, despite being recorded later. Phil Spector was brought in to complete the ‚Let It Be‘ album.
There is also a change to the original tracklisting – background dialogue, ‚Dig It‘ and ‚Maggie Mae‘ have been taken off the album, and ‚Don’t Let Me Down‘ has been added.
Paul McCartney said: „If we had today’s technology back then, it would sound like this because this is the noise we made in the studio. It’s exactly as it was in the room. You’re right there now.“

There will also be a booklet that features historic photography of the recording sessions and extracts of band dialogue from the original booklet that first accompanied early copies of the 1970 album.
