Hast du dieses „Problem“ auch bei Songs von den Beatles oder Rolling Stones?
ad1: Das zielte auf die breite Masse von Leuten, die mit Musik ja eigentlich gar nichts anfangen können – egal welcher Herkunft die Musik ist – und die deshalb Musik nur „beim Autofahren auf Antenne
“ oder eben bei irgendwelchen „Partyevents“ hören. Da liegt Adams so richtig in der Schnittmenge. Diese Stücke kennt einfach jeder, selbst wem Musik völlig egal ist oder wer bei im Laufe seiner musikalischen Sozialisation einfach bei „Summer of 69“ aufgehört hat, Musik zu hören. Das ist wie ein perpetuum mobile: Weil das Stück der breiten Masse bekannt ist, wird es noch öfter gespielt und so weiter. Und dann erhält es plötzlich Bedeutung, die ihm sonst gar nicht zugefallen wäre. Jeder meint plötzlich „das erinnert mich an meine erste Freundin“ oder sonst etwas in die Richtung (egal ob er die Story – oder den „Mythos“? – des sixtynine kennt oder nicht) Es ist blöd zu beschreiben, ich weiß. Musik für Leute, denen Musik völlig wurscht ist.
