Johnson“ und „Prestige First Sessions“, aber diese 12″-LPs (und die späteren CDs) waren auch Compilations – daher habe ich mal nur die 3CD-Ausgabe der kompletten Prestige-Sessions aufgelistet. Daran muss man sich beim Besternen natürlich keineswegs halten!

auf einer lonehill compilation gibt es Interaction komplett, denk ich link , und ja die Bennie/Bunky Green auf dem Stitt goes Green twofer von Gambit… was den Ammons/Stitt Favoriten betrifft hab ich ein bißchen mit mir gerungen, ob es nicht eher Boss Tenors in Orbit wird… aber The Sun Died hat dann den Ausschlag gegeben…

Danke für die anderen Infos! Muss mir wohl weitere dieser lausigen CDs kaufen… das Album mit Sims möchte ich gerne mal ganz hören! Und das Colpix-Album, das auch noch enthalten ist, ist mir gestern beim Erstellen der Alben-Liste erstmals begegnet.

(Thelonious Monk) | Meine Sendungen auf Radio StoneFM: gypsy goes jazz, #151: Neuheiten aus dem Archiv – 09.04., 22:00 | Slow Drive to South Africa, #8: tba | No Problem Saloon, #30: tbadas Album mit Sims hat eine tolle Rhythmusgruppe um ‚Young‘ John Young, quasi die Band von Von Freeman Jahre vor dem ersten Freeman Album… hab jetzt den Brothers-4 Twofer auch nochmal im wesentlichen gehört, an das Varitone muss man sich natürlich gewöhnen, und ins Gesicht springt einem hier nichts (aber wer würde das auch wollen), Alexander’s Ragtime Band würd ich als Highlight herausstellen…
