Kennt noch jemand die Thunderdome-Compilations? Enthält satt wummernden Hardcore Techno, die waren um 1993/1994 sehr angesagt. Meine beiden Brüder hatten damals etliche CDs davon. Hab mal eben in die Thunderdome XI reingehört. Der Track „Bad Dreams“ enthält ein interessantes gepitchtes Sample des Songs „Wuthering Heights“ von Kate Bush. Total trippy:

Ein Track von seinem 71er-Album „Aereo-Plain“.
Großartige Band mit Norman Blake an der Gitarre, Vassar Clements an der Fiddle, dem Co-Autor des Songs Tut Taylor an der Dobro und Randy Scruggs am Baß.In dem Song beklagt John Hartford den Niedergang des damals baufälligen Ryman Auditorium in Nashville/Tennessee, der Heimat der Grand Ole Opry.
Die Opry wurde 1974 aus der Innenstadt von Nashville verlegt. Das Ryman Auditorium stand lange leer, wurde jedoch bis 1994 vollständig restauriert und ist heute wieder regelmäßiger Veranstaltungsort von Konzerten.„They’re gonna tear down the Grand Ole Opry
