Jenny O. – „I Don’t Want to Live Alone Anymore“ (2020)

Ein sanfter, wohlgeformter Song mit wiegendem Rhythmus, klanglich angereichert durch ein Mellotron, sehr sweet. Jennifers Anforderungen scheinen durchaus erfüllbar: „Come cook for me while I eat seeds and read“.

Ich kannte Jenny O. (Jennifer Ognibene) bis eben nicht, bin jetzt aber ein bisschen gespannt auf ihr kommendes neues Album. Der jüngste Vorbote davon heißt „What About That Day“, ist ein melancholischer Rückblick auf eine gescheiterte Beziehung, sehr stimmungsvoll arrangiert (diesmal mit Synthesizer), und kommt mit einem Clip im Retro-Look (Super 8 Film) von Sam Gezari:
