WerbungRyan Adams oh yeah, p.s. the „Blackhole“ LP ( recorded over Christmas in 2005 ) is also back from the mastering plant. I f’n love this thing. It took 4 years to make it and to me it is basically Love is Hell Part 3… lots of shimmery guitar love on this. Exciting times!!!

Making the album of my life. This feels like the career statement. Massive acoustic tunes. Harp. Just bass, drums, acoustic, me and some piano. might get my pal to come in and just barely ease some steel on here.
also no overdubs or tons of backing vocals, just raw and real and me telling these stories. there is some NOLA vibe here but if i could say what the tunes are most reminding me of I would say the InnTown, WT vibe, the HRTBRKR SCarolina vibe and TOTALLY JCN vibe.
No overworked pretty just raw tunes. Not smoking has made me sing way better too. I can actually sing a bit more like I used to and I’m not gaspin for air.
It feels good to be back in the flow.--

Das mit der Stimme und dem nicht-Rauchen: Gesundheitlich natürlich keine Frage. Aber manche Artists, zu denen Ryan allerdings nicht gehört, kann ich mir gar nicht ohne diese rauchige Stimme vorstellen, Dylan und Tom Waits zum Beispiel. Kein Plädoyer fürs Rauchen, ne!?! Nur ne rein subjektive Feststellung. :lol:

Ja, einige Musiker kann man sich ohne Zigaretten kaum vorstellen (einen gewissen Stones-Gitarristen zähle ich auch zu dieser Kategorie), aber es ist gut, dass Ryan nicht dazu gehört. Seine diesjährigen Albumaktivitäten freuen mich sehr. Ich hoffe, seinem Gehör geht es so weit auch gut…

New music is coming along great. Four new riffs last night. It’s all feeling new again. Art for III/IV is also looking super cool… we’re still a bit aways but getting there…..
Mir egal, welche LP er zuerst veröffentlicht, so lange sie gut ist und auf Vinyl erscheint.

Gerade bei VISIONS gelesen:
Gefasst machen kann man sich in absehbarer Zeit auf eine Kollaboration zwischen Weezer und Ryan Adams. Sänger Rivers Cuomo dazu: „Es ist ein sehr aufwühlender und emotionaler und kraftvoller Weezer-Song. Es war wirklich inspirierend mit [Ryan] zu arbeiten…er hat eine Menge wilder und verrückter Energie.“ Solche hat die Band anscheinend auch mit ihrem WM-Song „Represent“ freigesetzt, anders ist der gute Lauf der amerikanischen Nationalmannschaft nicht zu erklären.:lol:

I’ve been working on a second batch of tunes. both sessions ( NYC and LA ) sound super cool but I feel like there is even more. still working… I imagine the new solo LP will be ready next year.
To anyone asking about III/IV and Blackhole- they are almost out of the oven. You will have a chance to get them thi…s Fall. There will not be staggered pressings. Digital AND vinyl AND c.d…same way you get the rest of your music from bands… not limited copies… Pax Am is working with a rad distribution company and everyone will be taken care of. I’m happy. Now back to work…--

If I do a solo tour it will be in the fall and it will probably be near there- I want to go to stockholm and paris and little towns in england like sheffield and leicester and i want to go back to cork ireland and i miss Scotland a lot… I want to play those places again but I want to play solo- just by myself. i am not so sure people want to see that so we will have to see--
