Wenn du Coltrane liebst, wird sie dir gefallen. „Coltrane plays the blues“ erinnert mehr an seine Prestige Zeit. Hier gibt es keine Experimente. Trotzdem ist er spielerisch schon gegenüber der Prestige Zeit gewachsen und abwechslungsreicher. Würde ihr **** – ****1/2 geben.
