Kein Meisterwerk, aber besser als alle R.E.M.-Alben seit New Adventures (Accelerate hat teilweise sehr gute Songs, aber eine misslungene Produktion). Der Greatest Hits-Eindruck rührt vielleicht daher, dass viele Details an alte Alben erinnern, die Mandoline von Out Of Time etc. Klingt lebendig und frisch und doch interessant. Ich teile aber die Ansicht von Kramer, dass Stipe sich mit den Texten hätte mehr Mühe geben sollen, außerdem wirken gerade die Refrains manchmal etwas flach und vorhersehbar.
