Genau die. Mit Staub detektieren meinte ich: Ich wollte überprüfen, ob meine Aussage zu „Long Cool Woman” stimmt – vgl. meinen Eintrag von neulich.

SokratesHör Dir mal bitte ein Stück wie „Long Cool Woman” an. Der gewaltige Hall am Anfang auf der Snare, das Gitarrenriff, das vorne ein paar Durchgänge allein hat, der Bass in schunkeligen Halbtonlängen – das staubt nicht nur, das ist die Mottenkiste. Solche Stellen gibt es immer wieder mal (ist nach fast fünf Jahrzehnten auch normal – heute wird eben anders arrangiert!), wird aber meistens von den guten Melodien und dem schönen Satzgesang kompensiert.

P.S. Ich meine das gar nicht so stark abwertend, wie es vielleicht klingt.

Nun, diese Compi ist recht gut, aber bei 20 Stücken fehlen natürlich mindestens 10-15 Essentielle (z. B. so einige aus der Frühphase 1963-1966). Du solltest Dir dringend die dreiteilige Abbey-Road-Serie zulegen:
