No prob. Geht mir ja auch ein bisschen so. Meine Jahresauswahl 1978 neigt sich dem Ende entgegen. Mit **** ist die Phil Manzanera mein heutiger Tagessieger vor dem Debütalbum der kanadischen Hardrocker von Streetheart ****-. Steve Hillage und Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band folgen mit ebenfalls ****-. Das Debütalbum von Baby Grand ***1/2-, das Nachfolgealbum gefällt mir besser.

Yeah, ein Top-Album für mich
Knapp dran am Meisterwerk. Nur ihre „Live in Berlin“ von 1980 ist noch besserJa, erstaunlich, dass sie live solch einen klaren Sound hinbekommen haben. Ich habe sieben Alben von ihnen, die mir alle sehr gut gefallen.
Da habe ich sogar ein Album mehr. Bei meinen 8 Alben sind aber 3 Compis dabei. Und ja , sie hatten live einen vorzüglichen Sound. Durfte ich selbst in den 90iger Jahren bei 2 Konzerten von ihnen erleben. Ich finde es nur erstaunlich, dass sie hier so gar keine Rolle spielen, auch bei den vielen Jazzern hier im Forum. Dabei muss man nur mal ein paar Namen nennen : Wolfgang Dauner, Volker Kriegel, Eberhard Weber, Jon Hiseman, Barbara Thompson, Albert Mangelsdorff, Charlie Mariano…usw. Mein Gott, was waren das alles für tolle Musiker
… und nicht zu vergessen Ian Carr von Nucleus. Von dem habe ich ein Dutzend Alben im Regal.

Tut mir leid. Gutes Album allemal. Aber erstens habe ich mich in diesem Thread noch nie beteiligt und zweitens wäre mein Album für diesen Monat „Ozarker“ von Israel Nash.

Ich werde das überprüfen, ob Israel Nash da mithalten kann. (Ich hätte auch fast The Bathers oder VV Brown gewählt. War ein bisschen knapp für die Mountain Goats. Aber das Album wird immer besser. Anfangs dachte ich auch gut, aber etwas unscheinbar. Inzwischen mindestens 4 out of 5. I’d give it a rave review, wenn ich Reviewer wäre. Ich mag Alben, die einen Track haben, der „Murder at the 18th St. Garage“ heißt, aber upbeat sind. Und das Schlagzeug ist so toll!)
