Include me out!Die ersten zwei Durchläufe sagen mir, dass Chuck Prophet mit mehr Verve an die Sache herangegangen ist, als auf einigen seiner letzten Releases. Da schien mir manches schon gewohnsheitsmäßig bis routiniert ohne natürlich qualitativ völlig wegzubrechen. Wobei sein letztes Album „Let freedom ring“ (2009) schon wieder ein Schritt in die richtige Richtung war. Aber das hier lässt mich schon fast wieder an den Prophet von „Homemade blood“ oder „The hurting business“ denken. Ich muß die Eindrücke aber noch vertiefen.

Bei mir sind’s mittlerweile die ersten drei, „Fire“ und jetzt eben „Rejuvenation“.
„Trick Bag“ hat mich noch nie neugierig gemacht und „Cabbage Alley“ auch eher nicht. Die nächste CD, die mich wundernimmt, ist dann wohl das 1975er Konzert von der Queen Mary.--

On March 24th, after work on the LP had been completed, a party was held on the boat the Queen Mary in Long Beach, with New Orleans stalwarts Lee Dorsey (‚Ya-Ya‘), Ernie K-Doe (‚Mother In Law‘, ‚Working In The Coal Mine‘), Professor Longhair, The Meters and Chocolate Milk all playing for the assembled friends and hangers-on of the band (including none other than George Harrison and Bob Dylan).
Edit: nach nochmaligem lesen war es ja anscheindend doch ‚die‘ Queen Mary, nobel nobel !!

macht auf jeden Fall mehr Sinn, und würde besser passen als der Luxusdampfer.
Aber so genau steht’s ja doch nicht drin im Text.(wäre ja eigentlich auch egal, wenn ich nicht was gegen Nobel- Dampfer hätte
