Onkel TomUnd, pipe? Erste Eindrücke? Der Titel auf der New Noises CD hat mich sehr neugierig gemacht.
Ja, das Album ist auf Anhieb sehr einschmeichelnd. Freitas schüttelt feine Songs in Reihe aus dem Ärmel. Vielleicht täuscht mich mein Eindruck, aber im Vergleich zum Vorgänger „Sun down“ wird ein klein wenig mehr mit Eletronik experimentiert, das bleibt aber marginal. Wenn Du den Track vom Sampler magst, der mich übrigens musikalisch in Teilen frappierend an Ron Sexsmith erinnert, darfst Du beim Album zugreifen.

Das ist DER Steve Hoffman, der die Horn/Szabo-CD geremastert hat? Sieht so billig aus, dass ich auf den ersten Blick dachte, das sei ein Bootleg, aber der damalige Executive Producer Norman Schwartz scheint bei der CD wieder beteiligt gewesen zu sein… muss ja nicht viel heissen… jedenfalls grässliches Layout!
