This summer, Lucky Soul embarked on a lengthy studio hiatus with a producer by the name of George Shilling (he’s also worked with Blur, Primal Scream and Bernard Butler). They have re-emerged with what could well end up being regarded as one of the finest independent pop portfolios of recent history. Basically, it’s bloody amazing, we absolutely love it and if there’s justice in the pop world it will see them propelled to some dizzy, immortal pinnacle of success and they won’t speak to us except via lower members of their entourage.

In this EP you have both a statement of intent for what’s to come with the album (‘THE GREAT UNWANTED’, released on MARCH 5th) and a stand-alone classic record.

Von einem Vinyl-Release konnte ich bisher leider nichts lesen.

Wenn man die Singles und EPs hat, bekommt man leider nur sehr wenig für’s Geld – nur sechs neue Tracks, von denen mir nur „One Kiss don’t Make no Summer“ wirklich gut gefällt.

Stimmt. Darüber habe ich mich auch bei RF ausgelassen, aber die haben halt an die CD-Verfügbarkeit der Tracks verwiesen, und demnach sind es 3 von 14 Songs, die man dann eben schon hat.

*seufz* Ich will auch mein Exemplar haben, aber Dead & Free können ja auch erst liefern, wenn sie es selbst haben…müsste wohl in dieser Woche nach Deutschland eintrudeln…

@ Mista: Macht das Booklet auch so viel her wie die Covers bisher? Stehen die Texte drin?

Aber irgendwie schon merkwürdig, daß das Album nicht auf Vinyl erscheint. Da gibt es Vinyl-only-Single-Releases aber die ganze Scheibe gibt’s nur als CD. Das soll einer verstehen…
