The Weary Band Albums „You Can Get Lost“ gepresst.

    Künstler des Labes sind:

    Beth Porter & The Availables
Bethany has recently embarked on a solo venture incorporating cello, ukulele and recorders. She writes and sings her own songs as well as covering some carefully chosen traditional tunes. Drawing from her classical background and extensive and varied live performance experience, Bethany creates a unique and refreshingly modern texture to her repertoire contrasting the cello and ukulele with a voice that will hold your attention right down to the last glorious note.

    The No Sorrows

Psych-folk six-piece The No Sorrows combine soaring harmonies, melodic violin, shoegazey feedback and a powerhouse rhythm section to produce a sound that has been compared to ’60s Brit-folk icons Trees and Fairport Convention, with a droney dash of Neil Young

    Spiral Feathers

Born as a concept in 2008, Spiral Feathers began with solo gigs on Berlin’s troubadour circuit by Mal Skene (Superfine (UK), Klovis (FR), Index (DE)). Studio work followed: Ed East (Chikinki) produced 10 tracks to form the first album, for private release.
Simon Runarsson (Index (DE), Han Solo (ICE)) stepped in on drums, with Aaron Dall (US) on bass, and Johanna Blackstone (Kunst Als Strafe (US/DE)) on cello and flute, and adding her incomparable vocals. Will Carruthers (Spacemen 3, freelovebabies) added bass and vocals on tracks including a cover of Velvet Undergorund’s „Lady Godiva’s Operation“.

    The Weary Band

The Weary Band are a group of pals who write, record and release their own music. Tim (vocals & guitar) and Alex (guitar lord of the underground) met when they were about 17 at 6th-form college and spent most Friday nights drinking, indulging in ridiculous, mammoth jams and recording Tim’s songs on a 4-track tape machine.

In terms of recording technique, not much has changed, except that 4 tracks have now become 8, with almost all of the band’s songs recorded on an old Otari 8-track desperately in need of a service (during the recording of Leaving the Country the machine had to be balanced on a stack of dictionaries to make the loud clicking sound stop).
