Leider wieder ein Album, das v.a. an der Produktion krankt. Die Songs an sich sind ja fast durch die Bank sehr gut bis großartig (das mit Mellencamp geschriebene und mit Springsteen gesungene „Take A Look At My Heart“ müsste ich jetzt nicht unbedingt haben, ist aber auch nicht wirklich schwach). Bei der Frizzell-Nummer etwa hört man schon Herzblut und Freude an der Hommage heraus, aber das wird halt alles durch diese teilweise schrecklichen Sounds geplättet.

Ja, die Produktion ist auch mein Problem bei dem Album. Bei den ersten Tönen von „I Want To Be With You Always“ zucke ich jedes Mal zusammen, so scheußlich finde ich die Instrumentierung. Dieser helle Harmonium-Sound ist ganz kurz vor der Kirmesorgel. Da kann dann auch Johns Gesang nichts mehr gegen ausrichten.
