toll! kurze recherche: sie spielt eine 1932 national triolian resonator guitar, die klassische bluesgitarre der depressionszeit, stahlkörper, mit emailfarbe handbesprüht, gebaut in los angeles. unter der decke sitzen die resonatoren aus aluminiumblechen, damit erreicht man angeblich eine lautstärke, um mit blechbläsern spielen zu können.

Interessant, in der Tat! Ich tippe, dass das Foto vom Spirituals to Swing-Konzert stammen könnte, aber ich weiss es leider nicht. Jedenfalls waren sie da 1938 beide.
