Ich weiß, ich weiß … aber dennoch:

Status Quo are delighted to announce the release of deluxe expanded 2 CD versions of a trio of classic albums that were released on the revered Vertigo label, namely ‘Hello’, ‘Quo’ and ‘Rockin‘ All Over The World’. These special editions are to be issued by UMC, on 4th December 2015. These carefully curated special releases come with an enhanced booklet containing new notes by Classic Rock’s Dave Ling and also feature rare photos and memorabilia from the band’s personal collection.

‘Hello’ contains the band anthems ‘Roll Over Lay Down’, ‘Caroline’ and the live classic ‘Forty Five Hundred Times’. The album was originally released in 1973. This version has been mastered by Andy Pearce with the assistance of ‘5th band member’ Bob Young from the original tapes and has a bonus disc featuring three unreleased tracks from the band’s archive as well as alternative versions of ‘Caroline’ and a live track recorded at Reading Festival 1973.

‘Quo’ is another one of Status Quo’s finest albums – originally released in 1974 and boasting a slew of the fans’ live favourites it is rightly regarded as one of the band’s best early records. Also mastered by Andy Pearce with the assistance of Bob Young from the original tapes, ‘Quo’ comes packaged with a bonus disc of a live concert from the band’s archive of a show from Paris L’Olympia.

‘Rockin’ All Over The World’ was originally released in 1977 and contains the title track, unquestionably now the band’s anthem as well as a clutch of other stone cold Quo classics. Again mastered by Andy Pearce with Bob Young, this title now comes with a bonus disc featuring a new remix of the whole album by original engineer John Eden as well as 4 unreleased bonus demo tracks from the band’s archive. The remix by John Eden really brings a fresh approach and life to these tracks – the band themselves loved these new versions and look forward to some feedback from the fans!

Exclusive to the Official Store, everyone who pre-orders one of the Deluxe Editions has the chance to win a Meet & Greet and a pair of tickets to see Status Quo at a show of their choice during the Accept No Substitute 2015 Tour.

These releases are fully supported and endorsed by the band members, past and present – and represent a triumphant revisiting of the glory days of one of the world’s most important rock acts.

Fleetwood Mac builds on its formidable legacy as one of rock’s most legendary acts as they re-visit their most ambitious album with deluxe and expanded editions of TUSK.

Originally released in 1979, the Grammy® Award-nominated, double-album sold more than four million copies worldwide, and reached number 1 in the UK album charts, and included hits like “Sara,” “Think About Me,” and the title track.

The announcement comes as the band – Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Lindsey Buckingham Stevie Nicks and now of course Christine McVie, – continues it’s acclaimed, “On With The Show” world tour which recently including 6 sold out shows at London’s 02 Arena.

To follow the historic, global success of 1977’s Grammy-Award winning Rumours, Fleetwood Mac chose to take a more experimental approach on Tusk. The most famous example has to be the unexpected and beloved inclusion of the University of Southern California’s marching band on the title track.

TUSK will be available on December 4

This DELUXE EDITION delves deep into the vaults with five CDs including the remastered original album, an alternate version of the complete album made up of session outtakes, most of which have never been released, as well as an additional selection of singles, demos and remixes, including an outtake of “Think About Me,” an early version of “That’s Enough For Me” called “Out On The Road,” plus several incarnations of “I Know I’m Not Wrong.”

Also included are two discs loaded with 22 unreleased performances from the band’s 1979 Tusk tour with selections from concerts in London, Tucson, and St. Louis. It includes live versions of album tracks like “Sara, “Over And Over” and “Save Me A Place,” as well as favorites like “Landslide,” “You Make Loving Fun,” “Rhiannon,” “Don’t Stop” and “Go Your Own Way.”

Completing the Deluxe Edition is a 5.1 surround mix of Tusk on DVD-Audio and vinyl of the original album on 2-LPs.
The collection comes housed in an elegant box reminiscent of the acclaimed Rumours Deluxe Edition with a booklet that has extended liner notes that feature new interviews with all the band members.

TUSK is also available as a 1 disc and 3 disc version.

    Original Album Remastered

Schon wieder? Das hervorragende Remaster der seit ein paar Jahren nur als HiRes-Download erhältlichen Ausgabe dürfte schwerlich zu toppen sein, lässt auch erstmals wieder den 79er Vinyl-/Originalmix von „I Know I’m Not Wrong“ hören.

Emerson, Lake & Palmer – better known as ELP – have signed their 40-million-album-selling catalogue to BMG.

The ELP deal includes rights to at least 17 albums by the super-group, including Top 5 debut LP Emerson, Lake & Palmer (1970), UK Number 1 Tarkus (1971) and Brain Salad Surgery, which reached No.2 in 1973. It brings together rights previously split between North America and Europe, with BMG now holding rights for the world excluding South East Asia.

The deal will see a reissue campaign, with BMG gaining access to the ELP archive including original master tapes, demos, alternate versions, radio sessions, videos, rare photos/memorabilia and bootlegs.

Nein, auch ich weiß spontan nicht, der wievielte Rechteinhaber am Backcatalogue BMG – der Kreis schließt sich hiermit irgendwie – ist …
