As well as the band’s first five albums, ‚Wasa Wasa‘, ‚Sing Brother Sing‘, ‚Edgar Broughton Band‘, ‚Inside Out‘ and ‚Oora‘ all remastered, this CD set multi-pack includes a previously unreleased concert ‚Live At Hyde Park, London, 18th July 1970′. It was the band’s third appearance at the park, on a bill featuring fellow Harvest luminaries Roy Harper, Kevin Ayers, and headlined by Pink Floyd. The previously unreleased recording appears here for the first time, mastered at Abbey Road under the supervision of the band themselves. Their 45 minute set is faithfully reproduced in all its raw and raucous glory.

ziemlich gut und authentisch . kommt wahrscheinlich auf die dvd an.

Für Neueinsteiger sicherlich lohnenswert, aber die Live & Dangerous CD gibt es als remastert ja schon, lediglich Opium Trail und Bad Reputation wären neu. Die DVD gibt es in verbesserter Qualität bereits auf der 2007 erschienen Box Live & Dangerous mit etlichen Bonussachen ( CD ) von 1973-2007.

Robin Trower at the BBC 1973-1975 is the most comprehensive collection to date of Robin Trower’s recordings for the BBC. From his first John Peel session in March 1973 whilst promoting his debut solo album for Chrysalis Records, Twice Removed From Yesterday, featuring ‚Man Of The World‘, ‚Daydream‘, ‚Sinner’s Song‘ and the album’s title track, through recordings for Bob Harris including such classics as ‚Day Of The Eagle‘ and ‚Alethea‘, as well as two further sessions for John Peel. This 2 CD set is completed by a concert recorded for the BBC in January 1975, performing songs from his first three LPs, including breakthrough album Bridge Of Sighs and his then new album, For Earth Below.

All tracks have been included for their historical importance, and to present a complete anthology of Robin Trower’s BBC sessions from 1973-1975.

Im kommenden Jahr wird der Backcatalogue – zum wievielten Male jetzt eigentlich ??? – reissuet – diesmal von SONY MUSIC.

Leider auch hier nichts von Bonus Tracks zu lesen.
