Wohl erstmal die ersten beiden CDs mit den Sonaten Kk. 1-30, die Scarlatti als einzige (unter dem Titel „Essercii per gravicembalo“) publizierte.

„What Is The Word“ nach Beckett, 1990/91 komponiert, ein Irrsinn. Ildikó Monyók singt/spricht die Altstimme. Nicht minder irrsinig die Solisten des Tomkins-Vokalensembles, unter der Leitung von Peter Eötvös.

Pergolesis „Stabat mater“ auf CD 50 (Inhalt hier) mit Emma Kirkby (Sopran), James Bowman (Countertenor) und The Academy of Ancient Music, geleitet von Christopher Hogwood. Unglaublich schöne Musik!
Das „Stabat mater“ gehört zu den wenigen Klassik-Stücken, die ich schon als Teenager entdeckte und die mich seither nicht mehr losgelassen haben, auch wenn ich’s vor diesem Sommer für sicher zwölf Jahre nicht mehr gehört hatte. Die Aufnahme, die ich damals kannte, war wohl Abbado mit Margaret Marshall, Lucia Valentini Terrani und dem LSO auf DG. Jene in der Barock-Box gibt’s auch einzeln, bei Decca oder Leiervogel … in der Barock-Box ist dieselbe Koppelung mit Pergolesis „Salve Regina“ (gleiche Besetzung ohne Countertenor), als Beigabe ist dann noch Gregorio Allegris „Miserere“ zu hören, gesungen vom Chor der Westminster Abbey, geleitet von Simon Preston (genommen wohl von hier).

Die Barock-Box entführt mich gerade nach Venedig … Paul McCreesh mit dem Gabrieli Consort & Players, erst mit Musik von Giovanni Gabrieli (und Bartolomeo Barbarino), jetzt mit Claudio Monteverdi, Giovanni Rigatti, Allessandro Grandi, Giacomo Finetti, Adriano Bianchieri, Francesco Cavalli und Biago Marini.

Schütz hat mich grad ziemlich überrascht, in Biber komme ich bisher nicht herein … aber die Barock-Box ist ein sehr schön Ding, da bin ich mir jetzt schon ziemlich sicher!

CD 5 und CD 4 mit den ersten bieen Teilen der „Années de pèlerinage“ – grossartig! Ich muss mehr Bolet haben, scheint aber kein ganz einfaches Unterfangen zu sein …

Nein, leider ist das gar nicht so einfach. Eine ganz phantastische Einspielung ist die des Klavierquintetts von César Franck mit dem Juillard Quartet. Finden kann ich sie bei amazon nicht, ich weiß nicht einmal, ob sie überhaupt auf CD wiedererschienen ist.
