Nunja, auf eine ganz andere Art wohl. Die Lieder aus Acadie sind trotz Melancholie irgendwie fröhlich und die Verbindung dieser Lieder mit alter Musik (Violine, Flöten, Gambe, Gitarre, Cembalo und Percussion) funktioniert natürlich hervorragend, aber im Zentrum steht schon LeBlancs wundervolle Stimme.
Und der Bezug zum Alias läuft natürlich über den Akadien gewidmeten Song der besten US-Rockband aller Zeiten (die zu vier Fünfteln kanadisch war und über einen Songwriter extraordinaire mit Hang zu historichen Mini-Epen verfügte):

„Tout passe“ passt wohl auch hierzu … hab mir für in zwei Wochen den einzigen noch zu kriegenden Platz der güstigsten Kategorie (die zweitgünstige schrammt bereits haarscharf am Dreistelligen vorbei!) gekauft und bin sehr gespannt – kenne die Oper noch praktisch nicht, erst ein einziges Mal die Desormière-Aufnahme aus Kriegsjahren angehört, und das ist schon länger her. auch wenn das hier nur eine nebensächliche Rolle spielen mag, verwundert schon das unästhetische (um nicht zu sagen hässliche) Cover …. es wundert (mich) schon, das dieser „Kaufaspekt“ bei den Vermarktern so gar keine Rolle zu spielen scheint ….

"Kunst ist schön, macht aber viel Arbeit" (K. Valentin)Mir gefällt das Cover, auch wenn die Augen etwas gar fies geschminkt sind (zudem hat man Staskiewicz‘ herbe Schönheit nicht aufgehübscht). Und die Musik ist eh klasse … hab grad wieder heftig bei Glossa zugeschlagen, auch diese CD kam erst gerade und läuft zum ersten Mal. Eine Arien-Sammlung um „Sturm“-Themen (also das grosse Opern-Melodram, aber es gibt auch die langsamen, brütenden Stürme – ist ja eh alles nur Externalisierung von Emotionen, Dorothy Malone und so).
