Muss ich beide mal wieder hören! Es liegt überhaupt irgendwo eine ganze Beige Pearson-CDs, aber mir ist im Moment bekanntlich ja eher selten nach Jazz …

Der Titeltrack ist nichts weniger als göttlich!
Da musst Du noch den JPG-Link nehmen statt dem zum Album … ich hatte neulich beim Umstapeln von CDs (Aufräumen kann man das nicht nennen, die Regale sind voll) die „Am I Blue“ in den Händen, die höre ich wohl später zum Ausklang des Tages oder der Nacht … „Idle Moments“ muss auch mal wieder her, das Titelstück ist einer der ganz grossen Momente von Blue Note!

Der Titeltrack ist nichts weniger als göttlich!
Da musst Du noch den JPG-Link nehmen statt dem zum Album … ich hatte neulich beim Umstapeln von CDs (Aufräumen kann man das nicht nennen, die Regale sind voll) die „Am I Blue“ in den Händen, die höre ich wohl später zum Ausklang des Tages oder der Nacht … „Idle Moments“ muss auch mal wieder her, das Titelstück ist einer der ganz grossen Momente von Blue Note!
Ist korrigiert.
IDLE MOMENTS ist 15 Minuten Hypnose, die den Hörer in ein anderes Raum-Zeit-Kontinuum versetzen. Danach muss man sich selbst erst mal kneifen.

This gift can bring healing—but it can also attract demons.” (From the movie Sinners by Ryan Coogler)Irgendwie übernimmt der nächste Track bei mir das Kneifen … das Album ist natürlich als ganzes sehr gut, aber wie auch beim Album mit Sonny Clark, das mit einer grossartigen Version von „It Ain’t Necessarily So“ beginnt, kommt der Rest einfach nicht an den Opener heran.

Das Album mit Sonny Clark kenne ich leider nicht.
Auf jeden Fall! Aber das sind zwei der ganz wenigen Alben, bei denen ich irgendwie nach den grandiosen Openern immer etwas enttäuscht bin. Die beiden Tracks sind einfach so unglaublich gut!

Ein ruhiger Ausklang des Tages … auf der CD steht zwar 2011 aber ich glaub sie erschien erst 2012, ja? Und sie wird bereits verramscht. Jedenfalls, nach den ersten paar Minuten zu schliessen, ein Kandidat für beste Alben von 2012!
