Ja klar, Shorter hatte sich inzwischen kompositorisch und spielerisch „aufgewärmt“ und war ab seinem Erscheinen bei Miles dort eine feste Größe….aber für die Evolution dieser Kombo hat die vorangegangene transitorische Phase mit den diskutierten (tlws kleinen) Zwischenschritten den Boden bereitet……

Do you believe in Rock n Roll?ich schliße gerade lauter lücken, die nichts miteinander zu tun haben. jetzt endlich diese:
soweit ich weiß die aufnahmedebüts von james blood ulmer und george adams, die beide absolut unverkennbar schon sie selbst sind. marr ist auch toll, wirklich funky, glitschig und geölt. als orgelplatte sicher überhaupt nichts besonderes, es gibt aber nichts daran, was keinen spaß macht. (king records, 1964, drummer unbekannt?)
