lotterlotta… besser als will big bands ever come back
Ja! Seltsamerweise gab man damals eine Platte mit den weniger guten Titeln raus und hielt die bessere Hälfte zurück … wirklich schwer zu begreifen!
Hier, in den letzten Stunden:
80% oder so davon ist auf CDs 6 & 7 der Mosaic-Box – die Stücke mit Gesang fehlen (bis auf das eine mit Roy Eldrige als Sänger), zudem gibt’s auf dem Hep-Set am Ende noch ein klappes Dutzend Stücke, die nicht im Studio entstanden sind. Ich werde das Ding also wohl behalten … die Überschneidung nahm ich allerdings erst heute zur Kenntnis, hatte das Hep-Set zwar einige Male gehört aber nie nachgeschaut, was eigentlich drin ist (und wohl auch die Liner Notes noch nie gelesen).

Dass das Impulse!-Logo wieder auftaucht (ja auch für die neue Haden/Hall-CD) ist auch etwas seltsam, nachdem die Jubiläumsbox wie es scheint endgültig gescheitert ist.

sehr schöner Tip. Ich kenne von Barron bisher nur zwei Enja Platten (eine ebnfalls mit Holland), gefallen mir sehr gut. Ich habe mir die Neue auch mal bestellt.
Die erste neue IMPULSE CD, die mir auffiel, war die neue Rolf & Joachim Kühn CD, auch große Klasse.

die Brubeck gehört auch zu meinen Lieblingsplatten des Pianisten. Die originale amerikanische Columbia 2 Eye Pressung (Vinyl) klingt hier übrigens gigantisch gut.
