gypsy-tail-windKontrastprogramm jetzt, mit besoffen-gedoptem Bebop-Piano mit einem Drittel falscher Töne (aber das macht gar nichts): Claude Williamson (p) im Trio mit Max Bennett (b) und Stan Levey (d) bzw. Buddy Clarke (b) und Larry Bunker (d), dazu zwei Solo-Stücke aus der zweiten Session. Ärgert mich immer noch etwas, dass die guten Leute von Mosaic dieses Album bei ihrer „Kenton Presents“-Box wegliessen … aber immerhin habe ich jetzt eine verbeulte LP.

Da ist (IMO) eine von Williamsons besten Taten ….

Vom ersten Eindruck her funktioniert das auch auf CD ganz gut, aber ist was völlig anderes als im Konzert.
