„Goodbye to All That“ ist übrigens durchaus zu empfehlen, Graves schrieb von seinen Erfahrungen als junger Soldat im ersten Weltkrieg. Ein Dichter im Schützengraben- nicht ganz so spannend wie seine Werke über das antike Rom.
Alles in allem eine sehr gute Liste, finde ich. Habe 33 der ersten 50. REM auf Nummer vier ist schon ein wenig seltsam, aber irgendwo verständlich. Es fehlt vielleicht ein bißchen internationales Flair. Sonst ist es ja einfach ein Traum, so einen Maistream zu erleben.--
So einen Mainstream wird es nie geben
Obwohl in den 70er waren die Beatles ja wohl Mainstream, naja und von REM wurden ja auch einige lieder im radio gespielt.
Und mit Automatic For The People haben sie es eigentlich schon verdient soweit vor zu kommen :)--
