… und wo bleiben die Tracks mit Monica Zetterlund?

Finde das hier in meinen alten (haha, war auf Pergament, hab’s dann eingescannt) Unterlagen:

Wobei die enthaltenen Aufnahmen mit Gomez/Morell ja von früher sind als diese hier (und von dem Trio gibt es eh unzählige Aufnahmen … ich hab da ebenfalls irgendwo was aus Schweden, Göteborg 1969, zudem was vom selben Jahr aus Finnland, auf Video).

Mit NHOP/Dawson ist ebenfalls was auf Video im Umlauf (1965/66, da passt der Zeitraum), aber da hab ich keine Trackliste dazu.

NHOP/Dawson und das Orchesterding sind schon interessant, aber wenn man Zetterlund vs. Gomez/Morell hat … oder das haben sie halt nicht, weil irgendwelche rechtlichen Gründe – schade halt. Sättigungspunkt bei Evans versteh ich, aber – ich wollte grad schreiben: was Resonance da rausgebracht hat, ist schon durch’s Band gut bis super … und sehe, die neue ist ja von Elemental.

Zum Record Store Day im April erscheint auf ORG eine Vierfach-LP mit Liveaufnahmen Albert Aylers aus Europa 1966:

Europe 1966 is a box set consisting of live performances from free jazz visionary Albert Ayler. Each of the 4 LP’s highlights some of the most magnificent moments on this European tour, showcasing Ayler and his bandmates at the height of their powers. The release includes performances from Berlin, Lörrach, Stockholm, and Paris, all of which occurred within a two week span. Ayler’s masterful band on this tour included his brother Donald on trumpet, Michel Samson on violin, William Folwell on double bass, and Beaver Harris on drums. These performances have been remastered for vinyl by Dave Gardner at Infrasonic Mastering. The package also includes a 12 x 24 fold-out insert, featuring liner notes from John Litweller and photos from the tour. The release will be available for Record Store Day 2023, with each LP pressed on audiophile-grade black vinyl at Pallas Group in Germany.

jetzt aber: de Valk bewertet das Album mit einem Stern von fuenf, eines der sieben schwaechsten von ueber 200 bewerteten Baker Alben, „Chet’s worst record. His chops are at an all time low (as are his spirits), and he tries to play some silly songs (by Steve Allen) backed by dreadful organ.“

Jetzt ist es wohl so, dass de Valk vielleicht ein bisschen mehr akustischer Jazzpurist ist als wir, aber es klingt trotzdem nicht empfehlenswert
