WerbungThe roots go deep below ground
I like to walk with you in the evening
Up the hill and back down
I watch the mailboat from the clearingMy mind is so confused, I climb back on top of you
And I’m changing the ribbons in this old underwood
Step put of your dress and I’ll wear you like a hood
For a hood is a home
for someone who lives aloneI draw a line from A to B and what happens in between
It is an open mystery as far as I can seeMy mind is so confused, I climb back on top of you
And I’m changing the ribbons in this old underwood
Step put of your dress and I’ll wear you like a hood
For a hood is a homeFionn Regan

Ich mag Hunde lieber als Menschen. Und Katzen lieber als Hunde. Und mich, besoffen in meiner Unterwäsche aus dem Fenster schauend, am liebsten von allen.Sad veiled bride, please be happy
Handsome groom, give her room
Loud, loutish lover, treat her kindly
Though she needs you
More than she loves you…I know it’s over
And it never really began
But in my heart it was so real…It’s so easy to laugh
It’s so easy to hate
It takes strength to be gentle and kind…THE SMITHS – I Know It’s Over

"And the gun that's hanging on the kitchen wall, dear, is like the road sign pointing straight to satan's cage."Wundervolles Lied, Ashitaka. :liebe:

@zeze
Wie soviele Songs dieser Band! Kennst Du das Cover von Jeff Buckley?--
"And the gun that's hanging on the kitchen wall, dear, is like the road sign pointing straight to satan's cage."Ich habe es mir gerade auf youtube angeschaut – weil ich es noch nicht kannte – und bin positiv überrascht. Trotzdem schätze ich das Original noch eine Stufe höher ein. Morrisseys Stimme ziehe ich einfach vor.
„Back To The Old House“ ist noch so ein fantastisches Lied. Ach, eigentlich alle, du hast Recht.

I was thinking about the universe

Love will pay the billsAin’t it funny how we pretend we’re still a child
Softly stolen under our blanket skies
And rescue me from me, and all that I believe
I won’t deny the pain
I won’t deny the change
And should I fall from grace here with you
Will you leave me too?Carve out your heart for keeps in an old oak tree
And hold me for goodbyes-and whispered lullabyes
And tell me I am still
The man I’m supposed to be
I won’t deny the pain
I won’t deny the change
And should I fall from grace here with you
Will you leave me too?Too late to turn to turn back now, I’m running out of sound
And I’m changing, changing
And if we died right now, this fool you loved somehow
Is here with you
I won’t deny the pain
I won’t deny the change
And should I fall from grace here with you
Would you leave me too?Galapogos – Smashing Pumpkins

When the world is sick can't no one be well But i dreamt we was all beautiful and strongWahnsinnig gut:
I’m drinking TNT, I’m smoking dynamite,
I hope some schoolboy start a fight.
…
Because I’m ready, ready as anybody can be,
I’m ready for you, I hope you’re ready for me.(„I’m Ready“, Muddy Waters)

God told me to do it.Oder ist „I’m Ready“ doch von Dixon? Und der schoolboy eher ein screwball?
--
God told me to do it.Auch fantastisch:
I want you to love me, till the house stand on my head,
I want you to love me, till the house stand on my head,
I want you to love me baby, till you know I wish that I was dead.(„I Want You To Love Me“, Muddy Waters)

God told me to do it.North Star (Molina)
you used to say i had what it takes
i think i did if you meant too little too late
i can tell by the looks that i’m gettin‘
i made some big mistakes and i thought you said i was greatshoot straight and give it my best try
i made my heart as hard as nails
that may be the way you live your life
but it’s almost got me killeddarling i’m not giving in
that happened miles ago
i heard the north star saying
kid you’re so lost even i can’t bring you homedid you think that we were going to last
honey you know you don’t have to answer that
half of that was my kind of joke
i don’t remember which halfi didn’t know how blue i’d get
i didn’t know how i’d get blamed for it
i didn’t choose to go down this road
no one chooses to be sicki’m saying everything is fine
by the look in my eye
but you know darling
half of what a man says is a lieit’s your last chance to forget me now
that its done for good
you always said i’d make it out
somehow darling i knew i never would--

„White collar conservative flashin down the street
Pointing their plastic finger at me
They’re hoping soon my kind will drop and die
But I’m gonna wave my freak flag high, high, high!“(Jimi Hendrix – If 6 was 9)

THRASHER by Neil Young
——–
They were hiding behind hay bales,
They were planting in the full moon
They had given all they had for something new
But the light of day was on them,
They could see the thrashers coming
And the water shone like diamonds in the dew.And I was just getting up, hit the road before it’s light
Trying to catch an hour on the sun
When I saw those thrashers rolling by,
Looking more than two lanes wide
I was feelin‘ like my day had just begun.Where the eagle glides ascending
There’s an ancient river bending
Down the timeless gorge of changes
Where sleeplessness awaits
I searched out my companions,
Who were lost in crystal canyons
When the aimless blade of science
Slashed the pearly gates. It was then I knew I’d had enough,
Burned my credit card for fuel
Headed out to where the pavement turns to sand
With a one-way ticket to the land of truth
And my suitcase in my hand
How I lost my friends I still don’t understand. They had the best selection,
They were poisoned with protection
There was nothing that they needed,
Nothing left to find
They were lost in rock formations
Or became park bench mutations
On the sidewalks and in the stations
They were waiting, waiting. So I got bored and left them there,
They were just deadweight to me
Better down the road without that load
Brings back the time when I was eight or nine
I was watchin‘ my mama’s T.V.,
It was that great Grand Canyon rescue episode.Where the vulture glides descending
On an asphalt highway bending
Thru libraries and museums, galaxies and stars
Down the windy halls of friendship
To the rose clipped by the bullwhip
The motel of lost companions
Waits with heated pool and bar.
But me I’m not stopping there,
Got my own row left to hoe
Just another line in the field of time
When the thrashers comes, I’ll be stuck in the sun
Like the dinosaurs in shrines
But I’ll know the time has come
To give what’s mine.--
