Also ‚Chaos…‘ rangiert bei mir momentan noch im Nirvana, da ich das Album (noch) nicht besitze. Aber ich habe schon gehört; das beste seit laaangem. Hat die nicht der Elbow-Produzent betreut? Wie hiess der, Nigel Godritch? Ist die echt so gut?….

Unbedingt, ja. Man braucht, wie Micks Fall mal wieder bescheinigt, definitiv ein paar Durchgänge mehr, um hineinzukommen, auch bei mir hat es relativ lange gedauert, bis die Platte gezündet hat. Aber jetzt empfehle ich sie dir unbedingt, und ohne Abstriche. Eine zauberhafte, sanfte Melancholie überzieht das Album, und es gibt Melodien von Erhabenheit und Größe, wie man sie seit den Bealtes nicht mehr gehört hat. In meinen Augen ein echtes Meisterwerk.

klexxIch finde ‚Ram‘, das Album dazu, ist so ungefähr seine zweit- oder drittbeste. Kaum Peinlichkeiten drauf. Und Linda’s Stimme war toll. Mir egal inwieweit da vielleicht nachgeholfen wurde.

Toll finde ich „Band On The Run“ und „Wings Greatest“ ( da ist Uncle Albert auch drauf), sehr gut „Venus and Mars“.
Meine Schwester hatte noch einige (London Town, Speed Of Sound), die fand ich sehr durchwachsen.

Venus and Mars ist göttlich find ich. Eine ganz tolle eigene Atmosphäre hat dieses Album. Warum’s kaum jemanden interessiert? Frag mich nicht. Ein mehr als würdiger Nachfolger zu BOTR finde ich. Das meiste andere finde ich auch ziemlich durchwachsen. ‚Speed…‘ + ‚London Town‘ auf jeden Fall, wobei bei letzterer die Good-Song-Frequenz gar nicht mal sooo niedrig ist. Ich mag noch die ‚Pipes Of Peace‘, die ich besser finde als ‚Tug Of War‘.

Für mich ist so eine Top-100-Liste sehr schwer zu erstellen, weil ich absoluter AC/DC (Bon Scott) Fan bin. In so einer Liste würde unzählige Bon S. Klassiker auftauchen! Ähnlich sieht´s bei den Rolling Stones + Led Zeppelin aus, auch von diesen Beiden finde ich sehr viele Songs einfach unglaublich! Ich werde es mal versuchen ohne AC/DC Songs auszukommen, sie würden sonst über Allen stehen!
