Gibt es eigentlich einen Live-Mitschnitt, in dem sich Gilmour tatsächlich einmal verausgabt? Dass das auf dem Studio-Album nicht passiert, ist klar, es würde die Suite stören. Aber diese ganzen Live-Feiern, von denen ich mir gerade ein paar bei youtube angehört habe; mir ist das zweite Solo überall zu kurz, außer dort, wo er ein bisschen mehr ins Einzelne geht, das Cello ist aber wohl Quatsch. Aber hier zum Beispiel, gerade weil Gilmour da sehr bestimmt einsetzt, hätte ich mir die Sache länger gewünscht, Improvisationen von allen, Waters ist auch präsent, Mason’s Drums gefallen mir zwar fast nie, aber sie gehören wohl in den Sound. Aber, sie hören genau dann auf, wenn der Anfang beendet ist. Eigenartig. An diesem Abend hätten sie ruhig mal wieder die 20-Minuten-Grenze ausprobieren können.
