Die besten Live-Alben?

doc-fEs gab es Zeiten, in denen ich fast nur Livealben gehört habe- so Mitte der 80er habe ich mir fast immer erst ein Livealbum gekauft, wenn ich eine Band neu kennenlernen wollte. Das war nicht immer die richtige Taktik, wie ich heute weiß. Von Bob Dylan habe ich mir z.B. zuerst die „Live at Budokan“ zugelegt, die ja nun wirklich nicht gerade besonders gut ist (wie überhaupt die Livealben von Dylan, die in den 70ern und 80ern erschienen sind, mit den Bootlegs überhaupt nicht mithalten können aber das nur am Rande).

mmh, in den letzten Jahren sind so viele Live-Scheiben dazu gekommen, müsste mal ein update durchführen…..

so ein paar fallen mir spontan ein, die sich tatsächlich unter die ersten 50 mischen könnten! Als da wären:

Übrigens nicht uninteressant ist die Liste der besten Live-Alben im neuen Musikexpress(wenn man solche Listen mag).Nicht nur die üblichen Verdächtigen, sondern auch aktuellere und überraschende Alben. Ca.70% hätten bei mir zwar keine Chance in eine Liste zu kommen, dazu die erwarteten Alben, aber auch einige persönliche Favoriten und Anregungen (Malkmus,FSK,Fall,Wyatt,Cale,Leo Smith,Harmonia oder The Knife).

Ich halte die Liste auch für interessant aber für meinen Geschmack nur für bedingt gelungen, mir fehlt da doch einiges, so z.B. mit Lynyrd Skynyrds ‚One More From the Road‘ und Thin Lizzys ‚Live and Dangerous‘ mindestens zwei wichtige (und wirklich gute) Live- Alben. Dafür gibt es aber vieles fragwürdiges, u.a. die für den ME üblichen Ärzte mit sogar zwei Alben (und da kann ich Rock’n’Roll Realschule wirklich nicht nachvollziehen), Tocotronic (‚Live: 1993- 2012‘, gab es zum RS mal dazu, für mich kein richtiges Live- Album), Lady Gaga mit einer Konzert- DVD (das ist das, was mich stört, ein reines Album muss doch anders wirken als eine auch visuelle Aufnahme), Libertines, Beatles ‚At the Hollywood Bowl‘ und ob Insterburg & Co. wirklich eines der besten 100 Live- Alben überhaupt aufgenommen haben, wage ich auch zumindest anzuzweifeln…

Für mich eine fantastische Entdeckung, da ich Escovedo 4 Tage vor diesem Konzert in Heilbronn am 08.12.2002 in Bramsche auf der Tour selber live erlebt habe mit sehr ähnlicher Setlist und dieses Konzert eines der besten Konzerte war, bei denen ich dabei war.

Hilfe, wie lange braucht man dazu. Könnte ich darüber natürlich drei Seiten schreiben, das lassen wir natürlich. Aber am heftigsten fällt mir auf, das da ganz viel Mitch Ryder drin ist, aber ausgerechnet Live Talkies und das ikonische Rockpalastkonzert fehlen. Letzteres kann ich noch verstehen, das wirkt vor allem visuell, aber Live Talkies ist doch ein Monster.

dengel, enorme Fleißarbeit. 58 Alben habe ich, davon 7 aus deinen Top 20. (Jane, UFO, Grobschnitt, Rush, Rainbow, Blue Öyster Cult und Yes) 400 würde ich auch zusammenbekommen, allerdings nicht mit so viel verschiedenen Interpreten wie bei dir.

Aber HRK fehlt. „Die Städte sehen aus wie schlafende Hunde“ ist natürlich ein Pflichtalbum.
