auch wenn ich mit meinem persönlichen top debutalbum keinen topf gewinnen kann. für mich war dies das absolute hammeralbum, welches ich allerdings auch erst 1978 gekauft habe:

The Seeds – Same GNP Records US/1966

The Seeds waren übrigens die Lieblingsband von Jim Morrison (Doors) und Neil Young (Buffalo Springfield). Dies Sachen werden aber allzu gerne in Deutschen Uebersetzungen rausgestrichen (Seeds ???)

Ab Platz 4 passt mir die Reihenfolge nicht mehr, aber das ist normal bei solchen Listen. Hier sind viele schöne Sachen drauf, auch solche, die sonst selten gewürdigt werden. Aber schmerzlich vermisst habe ich das Debüt der Violent Femmes – dabei ist die erste Seite dieses Albums doch perfekt und die zweite hat „Gone Daddy Gone“ und „Good Feeling“.

Speziell die Auswahl der Platten aus den 90ern finde ich interessant: Weder Björk noch Tindersticks oder Portishead, dafür sind ein paar dabei, die ich nicht erwartet hätte.

Neben Violent Femmes und Portishead fehlen auch noch Massive Attack (Tricky ist witzigerweise drin), Tom Waits und Curtis Mayfield. Die Liste ist gegen mich!

Das Arctic Monkeys Debüt hätte ich ja gar nicht für so wichtig gehalten.
