Endlich gesehen:

One Battle After Another (Paul Thomas Anderson, 2025)

Mit dem Dreh dieses Films wurde gerade erst begonnen, als Trump seine zweite Amtszeit als us-Präsident begann. Umso erstaunlicher, wie politisch aktuell er ist. White Suprematists, Migration, Widerstand.

Nicht unbedingt repräsentativ für OBAA – jedenfalls nicht thematisch – aber toll, ist die einerseits so einfache, andererseits so spektakuläre Autoverfolgungsjagd gegen Ende des Films. Zwei Autos fahren auf einer Landstraße hintereinander her. Am Steuer nicht einmal die Hauptdarsteller. Na und? Aber die Topografie der Straße, Kamera, Schnitt und Musik machen daraus etwas Atemberaubendes:

Kein CGI, keine KI.
